The stainless steel case of Ø 40.00 mm of this Moon Phase wrist watch from The Longines Master Collection is an example of the full measure of professional care and acumen with which its watchmakers approach design.
Caliber
Self-winding mechanical movement. Caliber L678, 13 1/4 lines, 25 Jewels, 28,800 v.p.h., 42-hour power reserve.
Functions
Hours, minutes and seconds subdial at nine o’clock. Day-of-the-week, month and moonphase indicator in a dial aperture. Pointer-type date calendar. 24-hour hand at nine o’clock. Fast-action correction of the date, month and moon phases. Fast-action correction of the day-of-the-week indicator via a pushpiece opposite ten o’clock. Stop-second mechanism. Chronograph: center 60-second hand, 12-hour totalizer at six o’clock, 30-minute totalizer at twelve o’clock.
Case
Ø 40 mm. Stainless steel. Transparent sapphire crystal case back. Water-resistant to 30 meters (~100 feet).
Dial
Silvered, stamped with a “barleycorn” pattern. Black painted Arabic numerals, minute track and calendar; moon-phase indicator at six o’clock, day and month indicator at twelve o’clock, seconds subdial and 24-hour indicator at nine o’clock; blued steel hands, sapphire crystal.
Bracelet/Strap
Extra long, in stainless steel, with pushpiece-operated triple folding clasp. In genuine leather, with triple folding or standard clasp.
