Posted by wristwatch on October 29, 2007

The Alpina Avalanche Extreme Automatic comes in 4 variations AL-525LBS5AE6, AL-525LBS5AE6B, AL-525LSB5AE6B and AL-525LSB5AE6. The all slightly differ in the dial color and strap material. These models comes in a black and white dial, the high contrast design offers maximum visibility. You have a choice between two dial designs, and either a rubber strap or a metal bracelet. The recessed triangle screws highlight the outer bezel. Kinda unique if you ask me.

Alpina is often overlooked by those in the market for a sport watch. I have an Extreme Avalanche and I’m quite impressed with it. The rubber strap makes the watch feel light on my wrist, yet the case is sturdy and has a beefy feel to it. The red triangle on the second hand and crown gives it unique details as well as the triangular screws on the bezel. I’ve the watch about 4 months now and get complements from many. The only thing it lacks is a substantial power reserve. Other than that the Alpina Extreme Avalanche is a solid and sporty watch that wears well with any decor. This from a guy who also has an Omega, Oris, Tag Heuer and Fortis.
