Got time on your hands?

Bell & Ross Pilot Areonavale

Posted by wristwatch on June 27, 2007

The rigorously classic Pilot model is directly inspired by the aviators’ watches of the 50’s. This chronograph is designed in accordance with the readability principles of the aircraft cockpits controls of that time.

Movement self-winding (ETA 2894), 28 jewels, 28.800 alternations per hour, 42-hours autonomy, high precision settings. Functions: hours, minutes, seconds, chronograph with 2 counters (60-seconds and 30-minutes accumulators) and date. Rapid date correction. Second hand stops when time is set. The arrow-shaped hands enable you to differentiate between chronographic and time-keeping functions. Watchcase: polished stainless steel watchcase fitted with a notched and graduated two-way 60-minutes rotating bezel. The triangle-shaped mark, corresponding to 0 or 60’, is indicated by a photo-luminescent point in the dark. Dial: coming in 3 colours : black, black/silver counters, and silver. White numerals (black dial and black dial with silver counters) and hands are both covered with a coat of high-luminescence paint (Superluminova®) to make reading easier in the dark. Glass: ultra-curved synthetic glass. Water-resistance to 100 meters (325 feet). To ensure complete waterproofness, both the crown and back are screwed down. Watchband: stainless steel or leather.
