Citizen PMD56-2771 and PMD56-2776

These two models are Japan only models. It seems that Citizen is really promoting the radio controlled function among their new models. Since these two can only recieve signals from Japan’s time transmission service. The PMD56-2776 has a Duratect coating which makes it more scratch resistant than it’s younger brother. They also differ in the dial design, PMD56-2771 has the 12 and 6 o’clock as arabic numerals, while the PMD56-2776 just has place markers. The actual color of these two are a bit different as well, being the PMD56-2776 having a darker shade and a black bezel. Both are excellent time keepers and are sure to serve you well over their lifetime.

That these watches will never be sold in the UK. I am still going to get one, I think the German transmission actually reaches the UK.
I did look at the Solar Casio Wave Ceptors but they just don’t feel like they are worth the money.

I agree. It’s a shame that a lot of Japanese models will never reach markets beyond thier shores. The new radio controlled watches actually do have receptors for a UK based station in England (UK MSF 60kHz). As soon as radio controlled watches take off in the UK, I’m pretty sure Citizen will launch a couple of new models there. Take a look at the Oceanus models from Casio, I think they are definitely worth every penny.

Tell please, does this models have a charge warning function and overcharge prevention function? Almost all Eco-Drive models have, I know.
