Rolex Air-King

If you want to own a Rolex watch but cringe at the exorbitant price, the Air-King might lift your spirits.
A part of the Oyster Perpetual line, it is the least expensive wristwatch in the Rolex collection. And if you are a military aviation buff, you might want to wear this watch just for the historical value it represents.
* Oyster Perpetual Air-King in Steel with Blue Cocentric Dial and Domed Bezel.
* Oyster Perpetual Air-King in Steel with White Dial and Domed Bezel.
* Oyster Perpetual Air-King in Steel and 18ct White Gold with Silver Circular Dial and Fluted Bezel.
Some slight variants in the dial design.

The Air-King usually retails for USD $3,800.00, but you can get it for just under $3,000 from a reputable dealer here in my country if you personally know him. To tell you frankly, I have no idea how much it would be in India, but I would suppose the company showroom in Switzerland would sell it for the retail price (they wouldn’t want to offend thier business partners by selling it cheaper direct). So I suggest you contact the authorized Rolex distributor in India and ask them to refer you to an authorized dealer. Comapre prices and let me know what you find out.

There are about six variants of the white/silver dial Air-King that was released last May 2007. I think the one you are interested in is 114200wao. Below are some more information. I’ve also posted a picture in the main post to show you the slight differences. Let me know what you think and if you do buy it, and keep me updated on how it goes.

Hi, I personally don’t know any dealers in India. Maybe some of the readers from India can give you some recommendations. I still suggest that you call the authorized distributor, then ask them for a list of dealers near you.

Thanks for all the information on the Rolex Airking models. Personally what would be your choice on the dial. Getting a little confused as most of them look good to me but I need to choose only one. Which do you think looks classy and elegant.
